Editor’s Note

One of our goals at Glossy Planet is to encourage writers to lean into the headlines, but what does that mean? We want writers to turn the way the world makes them feel—frustration, joy, anger, humility—into art. It was fitting, then, that our anniversary challenge invited writers to respond to a headline of their choosing, and we are so pleased to announce our finalists. Inspired by radically different news stories, their works center on identity, rage, and finding a way to make a life. Please join us in celebrating our Fit to Print finalists. We are excited to publish their work at the end of November!
